Bomb hoax delays Jet Airways flight by two hours

Jet-Airways1Jet Airways Mumbai-Ahmedabad-Mumbai flight was on 20 April delayed by two hours due to a bomb scare, which turned out to be a fake one.

One person has been arrested in this context and a paper with the word “bomb” written on it was seized from under his seat.

The Mumbai-Ahmedabad plane, which was taken to the isolation bay and thoroughly checked, was carrying 125 passengers and six crew members on board.

ACP ‘G’ division JN Parmar, bomb disposal squad and dog squad rushed to the site after one of the cleaning staff, who were cleaning the plane, found a chit with the word ‘bomb’ written on it.

Since it was difficult to find out who had left the chit, we arrested the passenger under whose seat the chit was found, he added. Nothing suspicious was found on the plane, he added.

A Jet Airways spokesperson said despite the plane’s search, nothing suspicious has been found and the aircraft has since been cleared for take off.

Meanwhile, a senior police officer said that the cops had found one person’s reported involvement in the case and started the interrogation of the person who has been arrested.
