Courting a fresh controversy, Bharatiya Janata Party leader Sakshi Maharaj, on Tuesday, slammed Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan for his remark on the Paris attacks, saying that, Azam Khan “makes the Al-Qaeda hit list’ and an FIR should be filed against him.
Speaking to mediapersons, Maharaj reportedly said, “These days whatever Azam Khan is saying is against the nation. Such a big incident took place in Paris and Azam Khan called it a reaction to an action. I sometimes feel that he is also associated with some terror organisation. An FIR should be filed against him.
Earlier, Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan had said that the global superpower must realize that the terror attack in Paris was a reaction to their action in Arab countries.
Khan, terming the recent Paris attacks as unfortunate, said that, attacks on oil-bearing countries by America and Russia were also condemnable. He also said that European cities “cannot be lit up with the ill-gotten wealth from the oil reserves of Middle East”.
“Do you want to light up cities like Paris, known for their wine and party culture, with the money earned through illegally occupying oil reserves in Iraq, Syria, Libya and Iran? The bombardments in Iraq and Syria on suspected IS strongholds apart from killing innocent civilians are also rendering thousands homeless. What justification do they have for this?” Khan said.
