In a surprising revelation, the electricity bill, for AAP Chief and Delhi CM, Arvind Kejriwal’s Civil Lines residence, was about Rs 91,000, for the months of April and May, according to a reply of an RTI query. The general administration department of Delhi government has furnished the copies of the electricity bill of Kejriwal’s Civil Lines residence.
The query was filed by an advocate and RTI activist, Vivek Garg. However, Delhi’s BJP government has claimed that the bill was over Rs 1 lakh and added that the government would also seek power bill details of all AAP ministers.
“The Chief Minister’s residence has two electricity metres. The latest bills for the two metres are Rs 55,000 and Rs 48,000 (total Rs 1,03,000),” Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Kapoor said. A senior official said the government will verify the bill before speaking on the matter.
