Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislator Prakash Jarwal has been booked on molestation and intimidation charges against a woman on July 8.

An FIR has been lodged against him at Greater Kailash police station, Delhi under Sections 354, 506, 509 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code for misbehaving with a woman.

AAP’s cup of woes does not seem to end here. Earlier, party MLA Dinesh Mohaniya was charged and arrested for harassing a woman, AAP leader Ashish Khetan was booked by the Punjab Police for hurting religious sentiments, another AAP member Naresh Yadav was named in a case for the desecration of the Quran. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s principal secretary was also arrested in a corruption case.

The women told assembled newspersons before filing the case that the victim first approached the offices of LG and the Delhi police department before filing the case.  BJP’s Delhi unit chief Satish Upadhyay speaking to ANI said, “People of Delhi are steadily beginning to see how the AAP MLAs were involved in a string of crimes ranging from corruption to abuse of women. They (AAP) are also being accused of misbehaving with the very women who go to them with their problems. What do these people want to do with Delhi? This is only going to result in a massive movement against the Delhi government by the people; they have been cheated.”
