24 dead, several injured in bomb blast at a weekly bazaar in Pakistan

The death toll has risen to 24, after a bomb blast on Sunday, at a weekly bazaar, in the main town of Kurram Agency, Pakistan. Apart from the 24 deaths, several others have been injured.

The militant outfit, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ) has taken the responsibility for the attack.

As per sources, LeJ spokesperson Ali Abu Sufiyan said that, the Shiite Muslims of Parachinar became the target of attack as they sent people to Syria to attack the Syrian Muslims.

As per local Urdu TV channel Express, Sufiyan said that, the attack was a revenge of the crimes leveled against the Syrian Muslims.

Those injured were airlifted to the nearby Peshawar city hospitals by Army helicopters.

Pakistani Prime minister Nawaz Sharif and Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain, have criticized he attack, saying that the best possible medical facilities will be given to those injured during the blast.
